A house we're interested in is taking offers tomorrow night. The house was under-quoted for the area (you get to know these things after house hunting in the same area for over a year) and it's going to go where we're not prepared to. So, we've decided to look at acreage a little further out. Not all that much further out, only about 10 minutes. But SQUEEEEEEEEEEE, I'm so excited! Except, that means we're probably going to be in this little house for a least another year and quite possibly longer. Boo. Today was fairly trying to say the least.
But YAY!
But YAY!

Oooo, acerage!! Got $800,000? The 180 acres of farmland behind us is up for sale. We would SOOOOO love it, but can't quite seem to win Lotto, dang it. But we could go halves if you'd move your butt back to NZ? ;)
Wow, 180 acres? We're aiming more at 1-5, don't think you could get much more than that in one parcel anywhere round here. Yep, I'd love to go back but can't see that happening any time soon, dang it. Oh well, next best thing :)
My advice: get as much as you can, because you'll always find yourself wanting more once you've filled up the first 1 or 2 acres.
Think vege garden, chooks, ducks, kids play space, sand pit, bit'o'lawn, flower garden, rabbits, orchard, putting green (!).....get the picture? More is GOOD!
Best of luck, Cat. You guys will find the right home, you WILL!
Thanks Kath, we've been looking for over a year now and it's only getting more exxy......but we'll get there!
Lottie, I forgot about the putting green, hmmmmm, like the rest of your list but will forgo the ducks and rabbits I think. Want a worm farm tho.
How exciting! I hope it all happens sooner for you though! :)
